Abstract

As models and datasets grow, simulations become more complex and efficient software becomes increasingly important. Yet, researchers often lack the knowledge and resources to adapt their codes optimally for HPC clusters and implement best practices. bwRSE4HPC addresses this problem by providing expert support in research software engineering to scientists of all domains. RSEs join HPC users in collaboration projects of up to six months, ranging from usability to performance optimization and sustainability. Long-term maintenance or multi-year development projects are realized through joint funding schemes.
